Marking Policy
Every child will receive a report at the end of the school year. Separate grades will be awarded for speaking, reading and writing in Polish. An overall grade for history, geography, culture will be awarded. A mark for behaviour will also be noted. There will also be a record of attendance on the report.
When awarding grades the following criteria will be considered:
- Knowledge and understanding of the curriculum material
- Comprehension and recall of learning
- Independence and active participation during lessons
- Attendance and readiness for learning.
- Completion of tasks and presentation of work (including homework)
When awarding grades for behaviour, the following criteria will be considered:
- Fulfilment of their responsibilities as a student.
- Conduct in line with the good of the school community at heart.
- Regard for the Health and safety of oneself and others
- Polite and courteous behaviour in school.
- Showing respect for others.
