Marking Policy

Every child will receive a report at the end of the school year. Separate grades will be awarded for speaking, reading and writing in Polish. An overall grade for history, geography, culture will be awarded. A mark for behaviour will also be noted. There will also be a record of attendance on the report.

When awarding grades the following criteria will be considered:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the curriculum material
  • Comprehension and recall of learning
  • Independence and active participation during lessons
  • Attendance and readiness for learning.
  • Completion of tasks and presentation of work (including homework)

When awarding grades for behaviour, the following criteria will be considered:

  • Fulfilment of their responsibilities as a student.
  • Conduct in line with the good of the school community at heart.
  • Regard for the Health and safety of oneself and others
  • Polite and courteous behaviour in school.
  • Showing respect for others.
