During the academic year 2020/21 the class structure is as follows:

Year 1-2, ages 5 – 7 – CLASS A

Year 3-4, ages 7 – 9 – CLASS B

Year 5-6, ages 9 – 11 – CLASS C

Year 7-8, ages 11 – 13 – CLASS D

This structure takes into account the number of teaching staff volunteering and pupils registered this academic year. Each teacher will lead lessons with the help of a Teaching Assistant.

Although the classes will comprise of mixed year groups, lessons will be differentiated taking into account ability levels among the pupils.

We believe that a mixed class system also provides the opportunity for pupils to become more confident socially and develop a sense of responsibility for their own learning and the wellbeing of others in the class. Younger pupils will have the opportunity to see what their older classmates are learning which will also aid their transition when the time comes to move classes.

Our aim is to provide a friendly and welcoming learning environment for our pupils, that takes into account their individual needs. Pupils will be encouraged to complete a variety of tasks to engage them in interesting and creative ways, while giving them the chance to absorb themselves in learning the Polish language. This will also allow their teachers to observe the use of their language skills in a variety of contexts and situations, (independantly and in groups) allowing for a fully-rounded assessment to be made.
