Parents’ Committee

The aim of the Parents’ Committee at Derby Polish Supplementary School is representing the parents of pupils at the school and to support the Trustees and teaching staff.

Parents will be invited to join the Committee in the first weeks of term in September. There will be five places on the committee, one for each class. One of the school Trustees will also be delegated to the Committee to act as a link.

Responsibilities of the Parents’ Committee:

  • To plan and coordinate (in cooperation with the Trustees) school events such as the Christmas Fayre, Family Picnic etc.
  • Running the Parish Coffee Morning and school cake sales to raise funds for the school.
  • Organise and coordinate the second-hand book sale/exchange at the end of the school year.
  • To put forward any proposals to the Trustee’s representative.

By all working together, we can help to make our school a success. We would love for our parents to be an active part of this and encourage you to come and join our Parent’s Committee!
